With appropriately fit amplification, children with hearing loss who use cochlear implants and hearing aids should have access to all speech sounds required to develop listening and spoken language. However, intensive intervention is required for these children to learn to listen and receive optimal benefits from their devices. This course will provide information about strategies and therapeutic activities that support auditory, language, and speech skills for both new and experienced listeners. This course will also discuss red flags that suggest amplification may not be working optimally.Level of Learning: Intermediate
