Abstract:
This interactive session engages participants in a practice-oriented conversation grounded in The Heartbeat of Speech-Language Pathology. As demands across communication sciences continue to evolve, clinicians are called to sustain effective practice while navigating increasing complexity and workload. Participants will identify and apply key concepts from the text to their professional roles, with an emphasis on evidence-informed, meaningful practice. The session will also highlight strategies that support clinician well-being and resilience while maintaining compassionate, effective care. Through discussion and applied examples, participants will evaluate and apply humanity-centered approaches to assessment, intervention, and professional interactions. This session moves beyond reflection into application, supporting clinicians in aligning daily practices with principles that center communication, connection, and sustainable service delivery.
