MNSHA Nomination Requirements
For all awards, nominators must be current members of MNSHA; however, letters in support of a nomination may be from non-members.
MNSHA recognizes the dedication and efforts made by professionals and patients in the fields of speech-language pathology and audiology. Each year, awards are presented to worthy individuals at the Spring Convention based on nominations received by MNSHA.

Honors of the Association
The Honors of the Association is the highest honor awarded to a voting member by the Minnesota Speech-Language-Hearing Association. It recognizes outstanding service and leadership in the Association and the professions over a period of many years.
Eligibility: Nominees must have been MNSHA members for at least ten years and have shown outstanding leadership and service, both in the Association and in the professions.

Spirit of MNSHA Award
The Spirit of MNSHA Award recognizes a member whose dedicated service to the Association and the professions has been an inspiration to others.
Eligibility: Nominees must have been MNSHA members for at least seven years and have shown dedication either in broad or focused areas of service.

Lifetime Achievement Award
The Lifetime Achievement Award recognizes an individual for outstanding contributions to the professions in clinical service, education and/or research.
Distinguished Service Award
The Distinguished Service Award recognizes a nonmember for outstanding contributions to our professions or the enhancement of the welfare of persons with communication, swallowing and/or balance disorders.
Client Recognition Award
The Client Recognition Award recognizes a client who has shown courage in seeking treatment and commitment to the therapy process, and who has achieved significant improvements in communication through partnership with his or her clinician.
