With Communication Disorders Since 1936
Minnesota Speech-Language Hearing Association (MNSHA) grieves the killing of George Floyd. We have and always will condemn racism, hatred, and bigotry. We stand beside and support the Black community and all who suffer as a result of systemic racism.
MNSHA urges members to speak out against injustice and inequity. Use your position and power to support, advocate for, and work with your colleagues, clients, patients, and students to create more inclusive communities. We must actively combat racism and its impact on our culture and the danger it presents in our world.
MNSHA’s vision is that of an inclusive, diverse professional community that improves lives by making communication possible for all. We recognize that good communication involves speaking AND listening. We will work towards equity by examining the presence of implicit bias inherent in our lives and work, starting with our organization.
We commit to doing better.
